Samsung’s Next-Gen Chromebook Could Ditch The 4K Display For Better Battery Life

Samsung’s Next-Gen Chromebook Could Ditch The 4K Display For Better Battery LifeWhen Samsung launched the Galaxy Chromebook, one of the key features of the laptop was its 4K display. Given that Chromebooks in generally are typically marketed as budget laptops, having a 4K display was a nice touch, but reviews have found it less than favorable, especially with its terrible battery life.

Samsung might have learned from their mistake because according to a tweet by WalkingCat, it seems that the next Galaxy Chromebook could see Samsung ditch the 4K display in favor of better battery life and a potentially cheaper price tag. The tweet claims that the new Galaxy Chromebook will feature a 13.3-inch QLED display, a 10th-gen Intel Core i3 processor, and an impressive 12 hours of battery life, way more than its predecessor.

The report also claims that the laptop could cost $799, which makes it about $200 cheaper than the previous model, and could appeal to those who are in the market for a new laptop that could last them all day. There’s no word on when it will launch, but with CES 2021 around the corner, there’s a good chance that the laptop could be announced then, so check back with us in the next few weeks for the details.
